Open VitalReach and get comfortable
Open the VitalReach app, start a scan and sit somewhere well-lit. You don’t need any cuffs or wearables – just your phone.
Look at the camera for 30 seconds
Hold your phone at eye level, keep still, and follow the on-screen guidance. The app analyses subtle facial signals to estimate your vitals.
Review a clear summary of your vitals
When the scan completes, you’ll see a simple overview: values, normal/borderline/flagged indicators, and when to repeat or follow up.
Four core measurements, plus wellness indicators derived from them.
How these measurements are produced, and what they are not
The scan engine inside VitalReach is a certified medical-device technology from a specialist partner. Heart rate, heart rate variability, respiratory rate and blood pressure are the measurements within its certified intended purpose. Wellness indicators — stress, wellness score, risk indicators and BMI (from the height and weight you provide) — are derived from the same scan and are informational, not certified clinical measurements. An accuracy indicator lets you retry a low-quality scan.
VitalReach is a screening and monitoring tool, not a diagnosis, and it does not replace advice from a medical professional.
Look at the camera; the app reads subtle facial signals.
Every scan is kept, so your measurements and wellness indicators build a history.

Available with selected Vital Healthcare memberships
Vital’s clinical team can review the information you provide, discuss your concerns and determine the appropriate next step.
Rather than starting every conversation from scratch, your nurse can have access to your relevant VitalReach measurements and Vital Healthcare record before speaking with you.
The outcome may be reassurance and continued monitoring, a video consultation, a home assessment, or escalation to another healthcare professional.
View membership optionsNew services are introduced progressively as the appropriate clinical, regulatory and operational arrangements are completed.
Vital Doctor

VitalMind
Mental-health and wellbeing support integrated into the wider Vital Healthcare journey.
Expanded Home Diagnostics
Vital intends to progressively introduce additional home-based clinical measurements and diagnostics where clinically appropriate, potentially including ECG and point-of-care testing.
VitalRecords
Your Vital Healthcare record is designed to bring together measurements, consultations, clinical information and future services into one secure longitudinal record.
One patient. One journey. One secure healthcare environment.
It’s not built like one.
On-device processing
The scan uses your front-facing camera to analyse subtle facial signals, but:
- No camera images or videos are stored on your phone by VitalReach.
- No raw images or video are uploaded to remote servers.
- Only the derived numbers (e.g. “heart rate: 72 bpm”) are sent securely to Vital Healthcare.
Secure by design
VitalReach is part of the Vital Healthcare platform, which applies strict clinical and data protection standards.
- Encrypted transmission of results.
- Encrypted storage in your medical record.
- Comprehensive audit logging of each scan.
- Explicit biometric consent before you ever start.
Designed around clinical governance
Vital Healthcare is designed to operate with clear clinical accountability, consent, safeguarding, escalation and audit trails. Clinical decisions remain with qualified healthcare professionals, and services are introduced only where the appropriate clinical, regulatory and operational arrangements are in place.
Consent, encryption and the Pryvate platform
Full details: Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
Is VitalReach giving me a medical diagnosis?
No. VitalReach provides estimated physiological measurements and flags when they may be outside usual ranges, but it does not diagnose conditions or recommend treatment. Always talk to a healthcare professional about any concerns.
Is my camera recording me?
VitalReach uses your camera to analyse your facial signal in real time, but it does not store or upload video or photos. Only the derived numerical results are encrypted and sent to Vital Healthcare systems.
Do I have to be a Vital Healthcare patient to use VitalReach?
No. VitalReach can be used on its own for £3 a month. If you want clinical review, nurse support, secure consultations or healthcare at home, you can add a Vital Healthcare membership.
What is the difference between VitalReach and a Vital Healthcare membership?
VitalReach (£3 a month) is the scanning and monitoring app. A Vital Healthcare membership adds the clinical side — review of your results, a nurse, secure messaging, home visits and escalation to a doctor when needed. Membership comes in three levels — Core, Complete and Companion — which differ in how many clinical reviews and nurse home visits are included each year.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes. You can cancel at any time via your app store’s subscription settings. You’ll keep access until the end of the current billing period.
What happens if my scan looks “abnormal”?
If a scan is outside preset thresholds, VitalReach will highlight this and may trigger follow-up inside the Vital Healthcare platform – for example, a suggestion to repeat the scan, an automated questionnaire, or a review by a clinician. In an emergency, always call your local emergency services.
Healthcare that comes closer to you
Vital Healthcare is being built around a simple idea: where appropriate, bring more healthcare to the patient instead of automatically requiring the patient to travel to healthcare.
Technology helps us monitor, connect and coordinate. Qualified healthcare professionals remain responsible for clinical decisions.
